The Story

A trailer with a
very specific silhouette.

In 1962, someone rolled a shiny new Airstream off the lot and — somewhere between then and now — a beautiful weirdo bolted a bun onto it. We found her, hauled her to Traverse City, and gave her a job: sling street food that punches way above its window.

Behind that hot-dog silhouette is a tiny team that takes the humble hot dog on a full Tex-Mex vacation. The Chisos Chili Dog smothers an all-beef dog in house-made Southwest chili; the Cosmic Cowboy piles on chipotle BBQ mayo and crispy fried onions; and the Terlingua brings corn salad and chipotle heat. Round it out with a tray of Rio Grande Nachos — or ask what rotating street eats landed on the plancha today.
